Confessions of a Looking Glass

There she comes – wonder who will I see today

Let me guess as, towards me, she makes her way

****

The sleepy mother out to start her own busy day

Waking up the kiddos to send them on their way

Or

The wife armed with a cup of steaming tea in hand

For a quick word with the loving-giving husband

Or

The working professional with a patient on her mind

As a solution to the complicated case she does find

Or

The beloved daughter  of a dearly loved mother

As they speak – the daily dose of “this that n the other”

Or

The giggling  friend, though well nigh into  middle age,

To talk of pearls and chiffons or the  current fashion rage

Or

The madam of the house with a shopping  basket

With veggies fruits and many a grocery packet

Or

The hassled housewife  struggling to solve

The vexing problem of the cobwebs above

Or

The Elder sis smiling happily on the phone

To talk to siblings who never make her feel alone

Or

The lady of the house, well coiffed n powdered

Dressed in her best, off to a dinner proffered

***

There she comes – wonder who will I see today

Let me guess as, towards me, she makes her way!
